Sprinkles & Trinkets

As part of our service to the community, we decided that we would also blog about local businesses that serve the areas that we also service.

As a mom, I found myself getting into baking and doing stuff for my daughter's parties. Since I got started, I also found myself driving into Langley a lot. That's because there's really no specialty craft store/baking store around the Guildford/Fleetwood area. Walmart does have some stuff but not quite everything that I need to decorate Leianna's (my oldest daughter) cupcakes. I go to Michael's in Langley or at Scoop N Save. It's about a 20 minute drive from my house and 20 minutes going back, next thing you know 1 hour is gone and with my busy schedule (like everyone else) that's a lot of time - and we only have 24 hours in a day.

So when I met Marcie McMurray, owner of Sprinkles & Trinkets - Cake and Party Supply that is about to open in Fleetwood sometime in September/October, I was super excited. I know a lot of people in this area who would be so delighted to find out about her store. I can't keep my excitement to myself, I have told a lot of people about Sprinkles & Trinkets already and like me, they are excited.

Sprinkles & Trinkets - Cake and Party Supply is a cake decorating, baking, and party supply and outfitting store. Marcie sells everything needed to create one of a kind cakes and baked items including pans, food coloring pastes, icing, fondant, sprinkles, pan liners, cookie and fondant cutters, flavoring and cake boards. She will also be selling items for party and event outfitting. Her idea is to b a one-stop destination for all items to outfit a birthday, shower, wedding or corporate events.

What I particulary like about Marcie is that she is passionate about creating relationships with people. Her focus is to provide a great experience for her customers, and offer unique, high quality products. According to her, by focusing on customer's needs and requests, offering classes, workshops and events, she hopes to help customers learn more about cake decorating and party outfitting.

While Marcie's store is not yet open, you can visit and shop at her website at www.sprinklesandtrinkets.com or check her out on facebook www.facebook.com/sprinklesandtrinkets or e-mail her at marcie@sprinklesandtrinkets.com

I am looking forward to Marcie's grand opening and saving gas and time. Maybe I can even walk to her store :)
